<span>In this paper, <span>a voltage source inverter is utilized as a distributed static compensator (DSTATCOM). The DSTATCOM used for the elimination of harmonics caused by nonlinear load. reference currents were estimated with synchronous frame (SRF). Conventionally, SRF uses voltage, load current and filter to compute track desired DSTATCOM. sliding mode controller feedback linearization are design controller. technique control cancel nonlinearities offer invariant stability due modeling uncertainties parameter external disturbance. requires rigorous mathematical model system. To overcome this, an artificial neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) devised training data ANFIS generated from algorithm. overall including algorithm implemented in MATLAB/Simulink SimPower block sets. simulated response was found be improved better than scheme.</span></span>
